I'm told that the insurance assessors visited my ur-quattro in the bodyshop
today and agreed the time and materials components of the repair estimate.
They now have to add the parts required and send it for authorisation.
On a further subject - I'm checking up on a couple of things prior to the UK
losing access to leaded petrol. It looks from the microfiche as if the
explicitly unleaded European engine (GV) shares all the critical components
with the WR engine. Can anyone confirm that the North American ur-quattro
engine uses the same parts, e.g., cylinder head #035 103 351F (also use #
030 133 335)?
