Hot Start Problem
Just to progress this - I used the (as usual) helpful advice from the
list and checked the fuel pressure accumulator. On mine, it's a tiny
screw at the back. No fuel leakage, wire tested depth at 54mm. I
think I recall seeing 90-odd mm as ideal, but my device is only 78mm
long. Not part of the problem, I think.
I have an 'instant fix' for the failure to start, by running the ECU
diagnostics to step two (fuel pump _and_ fuel frequency valve working).
Run this for ten seconds, and the car starts instantly.
