Perhaps the protaganists in this argument are both right. AoA decides on
the specs of the cars that are shipped to the US, their decisions probably
detract from the performance of the cars you guys get.

I cant tell you the differences with the A8 (beside 17"wheels & 4 pot
calipers standard on the 4.2q), but the S4's & S6's delivered in Oz came
with bigger brakes, wheels & different shocks & springs compared to the US
model. Individually, these changes may not be that signifigant, all
together I'm sure that the cars would be very different machines.
