87 5KQ Flush Radiator

That time of year.
Need to flush cooling system since I blew a top radiator top hose the other day.
Had trouble finding the "upper Hose" for my 87 5KQ.  Called Discount Auto
Parts & they had both of them in stock ($11.00 for both) .  
Anyway I need to flush the cooling system.
Is Prestone OK to use.
I will use Distilled water to fill.
What procedure should I use.
Should I use Prestone Flush? (for a Short time)
Plan on taking radiator out & back flushing.
What is the best way to back flush engine & heater??
