With an older car, replacing the shocks would be a really good idea. I had considered the springs, even ordered a set. I returned them when I reconsidered. I was afraid the stock shocks couldnt withstand new stresses... and bend some critical aluminum suspension bit or a wheel. I bought an antiswaybar kit, front and rear. I just installed it yesterday, but I can already see a dramatic improvement in cornering. >I'm looking for better handling/cornering and a stiffer ride. The bars take care of half of it--- >I'm not looking for a huge improvement, just enough to ride >like a stock BMW 328i. Is that a good thing? >I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg, either. Good Luck. Consider a tire upgrade. A +0 or +1 can really make a huge difference. Jason Palmer 97 A41.8Tq 200hp mtm w/ antisway upgrade
