A6 wagon 4.2 Audisport...???

Hi!

Driving around Greenpoint today I noticed some folks getting into
what seemed like a S6 wagon (A6 shape [not the very new one], Audi
Sport badge on the front, dark blue pearl paint, S4 mag wheels). I
did an immediate U-turn and passed the vehicle slowly as the people
were still getting in. The reason I ran back was that I first thought
it  was just an S6 wagon, but looking in my rear view mirrors I noticed
the badging on the back was bit funny from a distance. When passing
it I noticed to my surprise the "4.2" badge on the right rear side
and the Audisport badge on the rear left.

Was this just a special order from the Audisport people or does Audi
make this 4.2 in A6 wagon form? It was beautiful, very stealth apart
from the 2 badges. Probably very rare and  must go like hell! :)
