Hell, that engine was even able to turn a mundane > Escort into a screaming Rallye Car! The MK I Escort was a pretty good chassis to begin with, and Costin & Duckworth was only one of tuners many to make it move quickly. As for them breathing on Audi engines - I'd rather have an I5 than a Cosworth BDA anyway. Small matter of reliability and length of life. I have 157000 miles coming up on the ur-quattro, and it still sees off most Cosworth products. Bear in mind that Cosworth has contracts with Ford that give Ford access to Cosworth technology in return for $$$. If Cosworth is part of Audi - can Audi technology fall under the terms of the "hand it all over" agreement between Cosworth and Ford? -- Phil Payne Phone: 0385 302803 Fax: 01536 723021 (The contents of this post will _NOT_ appear in the UK Newsletter.)
