Audi (Quattro) history

Is there any site or anyone that has outlined the history of Audi q's?  I've
searched the 'net and read the AWD FAQ at eskimo.com and learned a lot.
However, because I don't have the original sales literature, I don't have
any clue as to the place my '88 5ksq holds in the Audi family lineage.  For
example, which generation of quattro does it have?  Is there any particular
feature that was introduced &/or upgraded in it?

I think it would be fascinating to see a chart that outlines the
year-by-year changes in the Audi &/or quattro evolution.  Not just the
quattro drive, but changes in body style, accessories, various curiosities,
etc.

I'd love to see something like:

1988	4000	Engine same as previous year; new color (lime); giant searchlight
option.
5000 SQ gains Astroturf interior fabric option; new generation quattro III
CSQ - 1,000 limited edition cars featured V-12

1989	200	3 ft. longer than '88 5k; new, more sculpted coachwork

and so on...  :)
