Don't forget that Subaru does not enjoy the kind of following in the US like
it does in Europe and Japan. In the US, it is kind of unknown and slightly
boring. Ask US buyers, even some car geeks, and all they know of is the
Outback models. If Suby wants an image car out there, this could be it, and
don't forget their cost on an Impreza is pretty low. The 2.5RS is in that
ballpark now, and is not really selling. I highly doubt this car costs
Subaru any more to develope than the Integra Type R cost Honda, and the
prices are about the same. Besides this car, like the Prowler will be a loss
leader image car. I bet it will be in limited numbers, and the lower priced
Imprezas will be where they make the money.
