I'd put it on back. Steering is too sensitive to mismatched tires, especially on quattros. Or, put it on front and burn rubber on that side alot! >This may seem like a stupid question. Personally (being of the school of thought that it's "my tires or my life", so I will not even attempt to "economize" on tires), I'd buy *two* new tires, putting them up front, and retiring the best "left-over" tire as my spare (you've never touched your spare, right? and it's now pushing 5 years old, so the rubber is old and decrepit...unless of course it's a mini-spare, in which case never mind...) -RDH
