In defense of SOME quickie oil change places, they can be good or they can be bad. It's all people dependent. I've had one tell me about a torn CV joint boot. Something I'd have not known until it was "complaining loudly". I always ask for and get Mobil 1 so they don't use their cheaper bulk oil, although it appears to be Valvoline. Their filter is suspect because it is typically a "no name" filter. On another incident, they forgot to tighten the oil filter. When I got home, I got a call from them telling me not to drive the car. They came over and tightened the filter and topped off the oil. There was just a few drips of oil coming from the filter before it was tightened. It could have been a lot worse. -- Bill Kolofa SToc:005 Integrated Circuit Development-Pan American Cellular Phone: 847-523-7134 Email: billk@ecg.csg.mot.com "Fools you are...who say you like to learn from your mistakes...I prefer to learn from the mistakes of others, and avoid the cost of my own."
