Winter Rubber

I have an extra set of the 14" Ronal multi-spoke alloys for my '87 CGT 2.3
that I would like to mount winter tires onto.  First, can I go to a larger
diameter tire than the 185/60-14's that I run in summer, and if so, what
size is appropriate and certain not to 'rub'?  Second, I am looking at the
Hakk's from Greer or G&G and the Dunlop Graspics and the Pirelli Winters
from Tire Rack & Disc. Tire Dir.  I'm looking for something good in snow
as we typically take a beatin' here in the Northern Rockies.  Skies are
looking cloudy, temp. dropping daily.  It's crunch time, gentlemen.
