While I have'nt used the specific H-4 used in the 4000, I have driven with H-4's before and the low beam performance is dramatically better. I find myself using low beams 95% percent of the time anyway, so this would be the area I'd be looking to improve. Adding both fogs and driving lights is difficult on a 4000 because there is barely room for one set of auxilliary lights. Adding Hella fogs would give better performance by themselves, but the effect of the bad lowbeams negates the effect. The stock lights on the 4000 spray a lot of light up and to the sides on lowbeam. This light is reflected back to you in fog, rain, or snow. The H-4's do a lot less of this, so by themselves they improve foul weather performance. If you find a good price, let me know, I'm stumbling in the dark myself right now.
