Block Heater 88 5kcst (front or rear)?

Sorry for the duplicate.  the last paragraph is new.

I've seen a little discussion on block heaters on MC engines lately.
Can I fit one in the far back frost plug right above the starter on my 88
5kcst with no 
problems (such as heat from turbo and exhaust)?  Any replies or advice
would be appreciated.  I have the car in a good position to do this with
the
right strut assembly and axle out right now.

I just spent some more time under my car and was wondering if anyone
has fit a block heater in the front hole behind the motor mount bracket.
