1984 URQ value?

H'audi:

I have just come across a 1984 URQ, car has been maintained by
Audi tech shop meticulously (ie:expensively). No rust.  The car 
has blown the head gasket today, and the owner wants out.  
The asking price is U$4000.00. Is this price in the ballpark?  
What could I expect to spend for parts, assuming the worse case 
scenario on the head gasket problem?  Best case scenario?  I had 
no intention of joining ANOTHER exclusive Audi niche (I already
have the V8Q) but URQ's are so much fun to drive, I'm really
tempted here.  Any comments, positive or negative would be
greatly appreciated.  I will be checking the archives, time to 
test that new search engine Dan put in.
