Clutch master cyl service life?

Noticed a squishy feeling on the clutch pedal of my 86 5 Ks a few times in
the last couple of days - today found dribbles of brake fluid on my shoe.

Obviously the clutch master cylinder is leaky, and by my (and other
listers') past experience, cannot be rebuilt. (Yes, we've tried. Yes,
there's only one moving part. No, it does NOT work.)

Reviewing my records, the clutch master cylinder was NEW from All-European
in June of 97 - is the service life on a NEW clutch master cylinder only 18
months? Did I get a bad one? Any experience with All-European on warranty
or is it 30 days or one year or toobadsosad, that's it dude, buy another?
(Does $91 every 18 months for this ONE item make ANY sense at all?)
