Hi!

I also thought about doing this since my one has been
cracked up by myself and by just about every mechanic
who has worked on the car and said "what's this?" and
then promptly tried to lift it. :)

I was thinking more along the lines of using thin
aluminium and making a replacement from that. Is this
a good idea? Aluminium sheeting can be had from a
place just around the corner from where I work. Making
the pattern and doing the bending shouldn't be toooooo
much of a stress (says he not having done anything
like this before).

Am I being silly again?
