5000 Heater motor

I am replacing the heater core in my 5000SW.  The fan motor is worn out
(bad brushes and badly grooved armature).  So is my spare out of a 87
5000 tq.  I have a fan motor out of 84 5000 Turbo.  The motor looks good
and brushes are barely worn, armature smooth.  I'm assume that the 84
motor will work fine in my 86 .  Does anyone know other that the outer
shell is shorter on 86/87 but same length are there any electrical
differences.  Parts numbers are different.
