I pulled mine a bit after bashing in my condenser, decided it wasn't worth fixing. A bunch of bolts, a bracket attached to the block. For some reason the compressor tends to be greasy which helps, keeps the bolts from rusting. Getting the condenser out isn't too bad either and frees up some working room by the alternator. Ditto the evaporator, then all you have left are a few hoses which go under/behind the engine. You remove those when you have the engine out to swap due to drowning... PS be careful opening the AC lines, wear gloves and goggles as refrigerant escaping under pressure will become very cold. Ideally you would get this refrigerant removed by someone who can store it, to keep it out of the ozone. -- Huw Powell http://www.thebook.com/human-speakers 82 Audi Coupe; 85 Coupe GT http://www.nh.ultranet.com/~human
