Me says:
Go to any speedometer shop. They can test it in a bench. Probably produces a
square wave signal (mine in 89 100E Auto did not). Shop verified harness and
and pointed to the sender. I had however verified the "famous" solder prior
to that. $100 but well worth the hazzle of finding the root of the problem.
My problem was a brand new sender from Carlsen. Replaced under warranty.
