I went to a place in San Bruno called Autoexec Haus that specialized in 
Audi's and VW's.  I got a diagnostic test there and they seemed pretty 
knowledgeable and honest.  I know they do allignment because they told me I 
needed it, but I'm still replacing bushings and such before I take it in to 
them.

Otherwise, there is the dealer (it's in the phone book) downtown.  good luck,
