[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] power seat looseness
Praise be to Audi gods! Everything is pretty much "up to par" with my '91 200q, so now I'm down to dealing with a small, but most damnable and irksome glitch: the fore-and-aft looseness of the driver's 6-way power seat. There's a sudden shift of 1/16"- 1/8" (couple o' millimeters perhaps) that is disturbing, if not downright unnerving every time I decelerate--even from moderate speeds. The seat tracks seem tightly fastened to the floorpan, so I assume there's slop in the adjuster gearing. Has anyone a sure-fire cure (so I can optimistically proceed to take the seat apart)? BTW, the looseness mostly goes away when the seat is moved to the extreme (front/back) positions. Phil Rose Rochester, NY '91 200q mailto:pjrose@servtech.com '89 100
