		When I was at Porsche Weissach in the early 1980s and saw some of the
		Passat tetra (later syncro) development, I commented on the roof bars
		on one of the test cars.  The abrupt German response was: "Sonst
		donnert's".
		("Otherwise it thunders")
		They were originally a sound-deadening device for that long, flat piece
		of sheet metal - to stop it bouncing up and down.
