I don't know if there is any good way to check but you may need to replace the radiator. I had the problem with the car running hot all of the time... Replaced the radiator and it took care of the problem. Because of the age of your car, you might have water deposit buildup in the radiator reducing the cooling efficiency because of reduced water flow and inefficient heat dissipation... Just a guess and I don't know if there is any good way to check... Arden
