Thanks, Jeff. Again I experience "read _all_ your mail before you respond
syndrome." This is exactly what I was thinking.

A question arises from this: Does the ECU pay attention to the low (4.0 psi) oil
pressure switch and not allow the engine to start until it is closed? Is this
why these motors crank so long before starting?

My big attraction to a dry sump system would be that they maintain pressure
during hard acceleration and cornering (I will occasionally get a low pressure
warning when doing a hard straight line accel from a light). The reduced
windage and reduction in oil foaming is always attractive when turning high revs.

Oh, I really like this, you can use it on anything with an oil cooler.
Hmm, now that I think about it, pull off the oil _filter_ and pump it up
the engine supply, so it will work easily on any engine... You could even
put the supply can on a hot plate to reduce the viscosity and make it pump
