block heater

eric my audi came equipped with a block heater, as did the other audis i
have owned in northern canada. it appears to use the frost plug above the
oil filter. there's no room to look but thats where the hydro line goes. in
the 4 years that i haveowned this car (86 5kcdtq) it has never failed to
start even at -40deg. nor even when left at an airport for 2 weeks with
ambient temps around -25deg C.(-30deg F) and thats with 15w 50 mobil 1. i
have _never_ used the block heater!
