Not entirely, tho it does require them to be out of the vehicle (new) the
seals can be removed (carefully) and packed with different grease. I have
heard of using lithium grease which is likely to be better than original.
So what, with bearing life being as good as it is you don't want to chance
damaging a new bearing by messing with it. That being said;
I have repacked one of these wheel bearings for the challange and to prove
it can be done.
