Audifans is best known for the main quattro list, where everyone is strongly encouraged to post general Audi-related topics. We also maintain a number of sublists for certain models and I consider it no coincidence that the more popular lists have dedicated list administrators running them. However, we have a number of other sublists which need some care, feeding, and stewardship- so I'm recruiting for those interested in helping with the 20v, A4, A8, Events, TT, and V6-12v lists (and encouraging those with applicable Audis to join those lists too!) I decided that mentioning good, new KnowledgeBase articles on the main page might encourage people to contribute more. Fame, fortune, glory! This week's featured article is by Kent McLean, who recently purchased a V8 Quattro which had been almost completely converted to a manual transmission. With help from the Audifans V8 mailing list, Kent tricked the car into thinking it was in "park" (so it would start), wired up the reverse lights, and wrote it all up in an article about the V8 Automatic Multi-Function Switch. It's great to see the help of others plus sweat equity distilled into a technical article like this!

In other news: The number of Audifans pages in Google's index is still on the rise, so searching should be better than ever. We're on Facebook, with 50 fans and growing. Last but not least, don't forget to contribute your favorite Audi parts sources and Audi mechanics.

Our colo provider moved physical facilities last night, and due to some cabling issues, we were down overnight.
Everything is back running normally and things should be stable. If they aren't, expect another briefer outage as we move providers :)

Back in the middle of March, Audiworld announced a move from Kawf to vBulletin, which is now owned (along with huge number of other internet forums, including Audiworld) by Internet Brands. The decision to eat their own dogfood ended up costing them considerably.
