(Answer) (Category) Audifans Lists and Site Help :
Archive searching isn't very good, any tips?
We're working on a better archive system that will allow much more refined searching, but in the meantime, here are some tips for working with Google.
-Google has several help pages accessible at http://www.google.com/help/
Of particular interest is the allintitle: command, which forces google to only look for words in the title of a document; it is similar but more restrictive to intitle:. Because current email archives all have the subject line of the message as their title, this will result in a subject-line-only keyword search.

Two other operators that may prove very handy include the - which excludes certain words(for example -alternator), and phrase searches(put the phrase in quotes, ie "big honkin car")
