Welcome to the information page for the audifans' "torsen" list! This list was established in response to a long lasting debate on the performance characteristics of torsen differentials, and as such retains some stigma. For some reason there are folks who believe that even looking here is a bad thing, so it was ironic that the *torsen* list was one of the few audifans lists that remained functional when the server crashed. It would be great if this list were used to help coordinate group projects ... DIY intercoolers, DIY traction control, etc. There are fewer posting restrictions here than on the main lists, but we still prefer that personal attacks be handled off the list. To minimize spam the list is configured such that only people who are on the membership list can post without moderation. If you would like to be able to post but do not want to receive posts you may set this up by turning on the "No Mail" option in the settings area. Using torsen
To post a message to all the list members, send email to torsen@audifans.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to torsen
Subscribe to torsen by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
