urq -- Discussion of the original Quattro Turbo Coupe (AKA urq or ur-quattro)

The audifans "urq" list was created for discussion of the one that started Audi's "quattro" line ... Originally sold in 1981 and which was sold in some areas of the world into the 1990s. Unfortunately for those of us in the USA we only got the one model, the 10v "WX" engined variant from 1982-1986. Most folks on the list are most familiar with the US versions, but all urq fans are welcome! This list is set up so that only folks who have joined the list of subscribers can post directly; all other messages sent to the server are queued up with the thousands of other spam messages which accost it. If you wish to post from an address but do not want to get list posts delivered there, set the "No Mail" flag in the options. The list is unmoderated for members, but we all would appreciate it if you could keep posts to the list on topic. To provide extra resources, especially related to the planning for UPG 2008, we have created a new group on Yahoo groups. Using urq
To post a message to all the list members, send email to urq@audifans.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to urq
Subscribe to urq by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
