Does anyone know what to do to get rid of squeaky
leather. The arm rest between the two front seats
rubs against the passenger seat when driving and is
especially pronounced in the city (road bumps causing
movement in the cabin).

I agree, this can be very annoying. I've considered (but not attempted)
adjusting the position of the armrest in one of two ways:

1) investigate the hinge mount, to see if it can be moved closer to the
driver's seat (there's a large nut, on a threaded connection); or

2) slightly bend the bolsters on both the driver's and passenger's seats to
make them tighter on the occupant; perhaps by putting a strap around the seat
and tightening it, using something to spread out the forces up and down the
bolters. This should open up the gap to about 1/4".

Another option might be to put some suede or other non-squeaky material on
the passenger seat where the armrest hits; perhaps even some black felt in
between. Or just turn up the radio a bit.
