I've heard of people hand stripping wheels with a chemical stripper, but once again no first hand knowledge. I don't know how bad the damage is on the wheels you have, or how much time you have, but you're definetely trading time for money here. Additionally, depending on your time and fortitude, also heard of a polishing kit to use in place of re-clearcoating the wheels. Never BTDT.
As far as sand/bead blasting, I talked with Mr. Karquattro (name?) some time ago and I believe he said that he uses a local autobody shop to refinishes the wheels he sells via that method.
Sorry, no recommendations for a NH shop.

Subject: [200q20v] re: anyone have suggestions on stripping paint off alloy wheels?
I picked up a set of used Ronal wheels with bad paint (peeling, partially
stripped, two coats, etc.). Any suggestions on stripping off the old paint
(or on applying new paint)?
Can I use a chemical stripper, or is the wheel paint likely too
Any thoughts on getting them bead blasted (will it damage the alloy?) etc. in
the northeast, preferably for very little $$$, or I'll do them myself...
Thanks, Chris Miller, c1j1miller at aol.com
