ECU mods would definitely be needed, from what I can deduce. NO2 simply
makes the intake charge extremely dense (cold) and creates tons of oxygen
molecules...however you need to have the ECU add fuel in to mix with those
oxygen molecules or else you will run lean. A lean mixture with NO2 in the
cylinder is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!! We're talking really nice desk decorations
that make good conversation pieces in the form of bent connecting rods,
shattered pistons, etc. My propensity to use Nitrous is completely
dependent upon how common/expensive the engine parts are that you will have
to replace in case of a failure. On an Audi with a 4-5k motor (used) I
wouldn't try it....but then again I have never gotten up the guts to try it
even on a 350 Chevy simply because after you get done putting all the work
into building the engine and getting it perfect...well you understand. I am
sure somebody has done it with Audis right???? Anyone? Just be careful
with the mixture and start with small numbers, i.e. 50 HP jets and work your
way up from there.
