How do you disable the alarm?

The gear which actuates the microswitches to tell the alarm to disarm
is broken or misaligned...or the microswitch is broken.

The alarm isn't actually going off because you're sitting in the
seat..its going off because you opened a door.  There is a
substantial delay between when the alarm gets triggered and when it
actually starts beeping.  Our cars do not have any sensors except
door/hood/truck open switches.
