There were a few other factors that would have made my times a little higher
than what would be expected besides the slipping clutch. It was the first
time that I had gone drag racing and the cars that were next to me were so
loud that I couldn't tell how high I was revving my engine since I was
trying to watch the lights. I would say that if the track had not been
uphill and if I had a good clutch at the time I would have been in the low
to mid 14s. The temperature was also in the low 90s so I'm sure that was a
factor that would have an affect also.

I will say that I beat a lot of Mustangs and Camaros, much to their
surprise, to make it into the finals that night. Lots of fun.

So Jeff, what you're saying is that basically chipping a 200q20v only
makes it match Audi's claimed 1/4 mile time of 14.9? That is unless your
slipping clutch made such a big difference, as well as the slope of the

That's still a very quick time though, for our cars - I'd be proud.
