Side marker light?

This saturday, I finally found some time to pull out
my windshield washer bottle to hopefully repair a leak
that was coming from the mounting tab probably due to
a weight related stress fracture. Though I could find
no crack I did apply a liberal amount of Silicone to
the area in the hopes of sealing the leak.
Pulled out the airbox and was able to wiggle the water
bottle out without loosening my euro lights.
When everything was out I discovered a neat little
rectangular cutout in the fender behind the bumper
with 1 screw hole on either side of it that would be
great for a cold-air intake (ala some Mercedes with
louvered fender) if the black part of the bumper had a
hole cut in it.
I figured it was for a side marker light on european
models and looked up ETKA for a part number but all I
get is 'part number not unknown'.
I'd like to know what Euro-light folks are doing for
side marker lights. It seems the easiest thing to do
would be a two-filament conversion on the side turn
signals. But a euro side marker install would be nice
I also decided to try removing the front of my airbox
to see what difference it would make. Engine has an
aggressive growl now on hard acceleration but the
but-o-meter is inconclusive. Removal is a bit
distructive due to the age of the plastic but I can
still put the airbox front back on at a later date.
