stiff shift

Once the linkage arm is removed from the car, I had to bend the metal tabs
(which hold the bushing in) upwards.

After R&R the bushing, I bent the tabs back down to hold it in place again.

Steven, could you tell me how did you replace that bushing? Dropped
transmission? I replaced the shift link with the ball because ball
became loose but see no way to get to the bushing....
