The other question I thought of later, if there was a problem with the temp
sensor, would it trip a fault code? Not that I trust those 100%, but they
are a good indicator.

But of course, I'm willing to retract everything I've just said based on the
following :) Sounds like a similar problem except I've never had a cold
temp starting problem.
Maybe it's time to get out the continuity tester.
