Broken door handle

There's a cable that hooks to the handle to activate the release
mechanisms. You either have a broken cable or a broken mounting on the
handle itself. If you look behind the handle, there's a screw to let you
remove the handle housing assembly. Use a magnetic screwdriver or one of
those drivers with a screw retainer clip so the screw doesn't fall inside
the door. Taking out the assembly will let you examine the anchoring area
of the handle to determine whether the failure is there. You may be able
to see the cable in the cavity and temporarily clamp a small visegrip type
pliers on it to allow opening from inside the car. If you need to service
the cable, I thinkyou will have to remove the inner door panels.
