I'm surprised you got that much capacity out of 134A.  I converted my old 86 
Avant over (at great expense), and lost capacity (as they told me it would).  
My 91 Avant still works fine with R-12, at 170k.  I used Autofrost in an older 
Corvette that had been empty for 5 years.  Did it my self and it works great. 
 I have a small leak at the compriessor shaft, that only leaks out during 
winter storrage. 134A is unacceptable in older Corvetts, those things are like 
driving in an oven and the AC needs to be on even when its 55-60 degrees and 

I have a friend who is an AC mechanic, he states that the small amount of 
butane in refrigerant is not a safety issue, unless someone opens the system with 
a cig in their mouth within a few inches of the valve.  In foreign countries 
propane is a common refrigerant.
