I recall you intended to install a new oem part (not a hydrailic-shop 
rebuild), correct? But if it was a rebuilt one-- rebuilt hoses 
sometimes (usually?) fail to have the internal metal restrictor pipe 
installed, in which case there have been reports of "noisy" PS

Sounds like possible MFTS failure--especially if you _also_ can 
detect a loss in turbo boost and lack of A/C operation. Being in 
South Carolina,  at least you can check out operation your A/C, 
something we N-Easterners can't use for another couple of months 
(although it's been pretty "warm" here this week.
