track pads for 200

I have used both Hawk Blue and Hawk HP Plus on the avant for track work. The Blues are best, the HP plus will work if you are a little judicious in your braking. However, I think I had already changed out the UFO's to wildwoods. If you get the standard backing plate #, you can see if it cross references to any other standard car for which pads might be stocked. Look for MB or BMW. Larry @ Carbotech is good, but slow and I was never impressed with his "in house" materials, so be careful.
For rear pads, HP plus are fine, and I even used stock Remsa ( I think NLA) for track work. Helps F/R balance and they last a full weekend.
I might have to go by the FMSI pad number for a cross reference. I used a
1991 200 Turbo Quattro (ATE calipers). I looked at a few of my suppliers and
found one listed Hawk HP+ pads, but the Hawk website didn't. Performance
Friction makes a carbon metalic pad (P/N 0394.20) which I could order, but
I've never used them (and don't know thier temperature range). Otherwise I
found a few street pads available (Mintex, Hawk HPS, etc.). I didn't check
Pagid or Ferodo yet. Anyone have experience or part numbers?
