coolant leak to timing belt job?

I debated about replacing the larger hoses. Both seemed decent but had been
trimmed and seemed to have been stretched/expanded from high pressure. The
lower hose was less than 10 bux so that was easy, but the upper hose...
well, I recently had to trim it to cure a cut/leak at the clamp
and afterward it really didn't fit tightly anymore on the outlet at the
head. So, not particularly confident in its long-term viability, I had
ordered a new one then and I went ahead and put it on. From Sunset in OR it
was "only" 90 bux which should somewhat limit the fat-wallet chastisement.

My pennance will be when the next pressure related leaks manifest in
increasingly bizarre and hard to reach places. ;-)

My attonement will be using the removed part as a model for a DIY assembly.
