Did a major going over on the the 91 200tq. but still have a low boost problem.
The timing belt etc. new plug wires, plugs, cap, and rotor all went on without a hitch.
New hoses, belts, valve cover gasket
New bypass valve, vacume lines, temp sender, pull and checked all hoses etc.
Pulled codes and none are recorded, did output test, everthing works as should, except I still am getting only 1.6-bar of boost.
Pinch off lower wastgate hose and instantly get 1.9bar in every gear?
Should I just try a new wastgate solenoid valve, even though it checks out ok using the output test?
I have no clue where to go from here.
Any advice on the tiny hose clamps, found the braided line, but no luck on the tiny screw down clamps at the three intake tubes.
I am also worried about the rotor button, could not find THE replacement with the narrow tip, can i cut one down to size?
ps ,trying to find out how to post the correct way.
