Doug, I ended up doing the following to my 2000 1.8T Avant manual..lot's of
APR chip (switchable back to stock)
slotted front rotors
mintex red box pads
replaced all the vacuum hoses with silicon hose Bailey Aluminum Bypass Valve
Bosch tri-tip copper plugs
Pretty tame considering what you can do to these motors, but the car was a
lot of fun to drive and handled pretty well too (sports suspension)..but
then I ended up buying a 2.0T, so didn't go 'full tilt' as it where..
