i have a lot of cars, and i have to say that automatics are much better on
turbo's for both performance and turbo life. my drag car is a stick at the
moment but I plan to switch that to an auto next season. you can't keep the
turbo(s) spooled between shifts without being harsh on the tranny. but
thats probably why they make both auto and stick. Some people like one,
some like the other. I never liked automatics either until I built a really
really fast car. The S4 is slow compared to my 2 race cars which are both 4
bangers (one FWD, one AWD) and made in japan. lol. but the s4 sure is
smooth and sexy ;-)
