I am very reluctantly selling my 1987 Audi 4000cs Quattro. I need to continue down sizing due to some financial burden, even though I got a new job. Tornado Red with Black Quattro script interior. Original JT engine. Battery was relocated to the trunk, in a marine battery box. The battery is not hard mounted as I was going to do other mods. 15" wheels from a 1990 Audi 200. 6J X 15 H2 ET 45 4/108. Fuel pump/accumulator/fuel filter all within a year old. My 4000 has not been on the road in about 6-7 years. I try to run it every week. The top end of the engine has been rebuilt. I installed a higher lift cam from Piper Cams. I'll have to dig for the cam specs. Red powder coated valve cover and timing covers. In 1997 I had a minor front end accident that was all cosmetic. The entire front of the car is new except the undamaged front bumper (core support/grill/headlamps/turn signals/reflectors) The front core support can be removed with 6 or 8 bolts. All the spot welds were drilled
through to remove the old core support. I had planned on painting the car at some point and started removing the door moldings because they were falling off anyway. The fire wall is cracked but I have installed the special firewall support bracket. No more problems with flexing. I have a lot of spares that come with this car. I will be keeping all the parts that I want to use on my UrQ. I haven't even begun to go through all my parts yet. The worst thing I can think of is a problem I had one winter. I keep the car under a tubular framed canopy and the snow was so heavy one year, it collapsed on top of it. It has a few dimples hat look like hail damage on the roof. Please feel free to call with questions. I'm looking for $2500 with all the spare parts.
