Culling the fleet. Time for The Old Gray Mare to go to pasture, or perhaps a new home. She is a 1990 Audi 100 Automatic. Granite Gray with gray cloth interior, and Euro Headlights. Originally purchased by my elderly father through the Audi Advantage program, I bought her from him when he stopped driving, and have put nearly 30,000 miles on it in the past year. Timing belt service done at 120,000 miles, and now has 145,000. Mechanically pretty good, with a few issues. I have bought a "new" 1990 V8 which will be my daily driver, so this 100 needs to go. Some dings and dents, but cosmetically not bad and the car could be a terrific daily driver if someone has the space and time to make a few relatively simple repairs. What does it need? Well, first off, a valve cover gasket, which I have, but have zero time to install right now anyway. She needs tires, and e-brake cables, and a center muffler. There is some sound from the right front corner that indicates eventually an
outer universal joint will need to be replaced. The original radio has been replaced by another OEM radio since the leds gave out, but both radios are there with the car. What's it worth? I dunno, probably much more than I can get for her. I had thought seriously about keeping her as a winter "beater" but I can't justify the expense. Make an offer. If you want to see pics I'll take a bunch of digital shots and send them to you.
