I never make the wave first when I'm driving my urquattro. I just assume
all newer owners are completely ignorant of Audi's history and the
significance of the urquattro, or even know that it exists. It's the people
(enthusiuasts) driving 4kq, 5ktq, CGT, and a few others (like VW GTI) that
know what the older cars (like the urquattro) are. That said, last week a
couple in a TT did give a big wave, smile, and thumbs up. Thats not why we
drive these cars, of course, but....
